Hammers02-16-03
Earlene and myself arrived around 4:30 PM Saturday. Everyone was out on the trail so we unpacked and had dinner. Just after sunset they started to arrive. The first to drive into camp were Bob and Machelle. I tell ya, those two were GLOWING! They spent the day doing the Jackhammer trail. Soon after they pulled into camp all the others showed up. Will, Scotty, Derrick and Sharon and Bill had been on Clawhammer and Aftershock. Damn! They were all GLOWING also! Sounds like we missed out on some great wheeling that day. Oh well. Sunday morning Will decided to do some minor repairs on his jeep. It was time to replace his tierod, it finally bent for the last time.
Next up on his repair list was a busted valve stem. Frustration broke out as everyone tried popping the bead. We all spook of putting the tire on Bob's jeep because he has this knack at popping beads on the trail. We got two jeeps up on the tire and then pretty much gave up on popping it that way so we drove off it and wham! off it came!
Now on to the FUN! |
